We are currently working with a global insurance business to find a skilled Technical Analyst to join their team. Our client has recently completed a major acquisition, strengthening their position in the insurance industry. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and dynamic organisation, working on mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and large-scale transformation projects.

 

This is a full-time, 6-month contract role with our client, a global insurance business. As a Technical Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of various projects by leveraging your expertise in data modelling and analysis. Your responsibilities will include:

 

- Assisting the Business Analyst in understanding and documenting business needs and requirements through effective stakeholder consultation and collaboration.

- Ensuring that all deliverables meet the specified technical requirements and adhere to established standards.

- Working closely with the team to create logical and physical data models, employing best practices to ensure high data quality and minimise redundancy.

- Contributing to the development and implementation of data strategies, data flows, and conceptual data models.

- Applying appropriate modelling approaches based on the specific requirements and data layer, including 3NF or dimensional modelling.

- Translating business needs into robust data models that support long-term solutions.

- Identifying opportunities for reusing data models in new environments.

- Analysing data-related system integration challenges and proposing suitable solutions.

- Collaborating with multiple teams and managing different projects simultaneously.

- Demonstrating strong knowledge of data warehouse design and a solid understanding of different layers in a data platform, including integration and presentation layers.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Technical Analyst, preferably in the insurance industry.

- Experience working on Regulatory or Successor Fund Transfers projects.

- Strong data modelling knowledge.

- Excellent problem-solving skills.

- Exceptional relationship development, management, and negotiation skills.

- Excellent analytical skills.

- The ability to work effectively across multiple teams and projects simultaneously.

- Experience with data warehouse design and a good understanding of different layers in a data platform, such as integration and presentation.
