Job Description: Senior Test Analyst (Insurance/Claims)

Location: Sydney, Hybrid WFH 

MAP Talent, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our prestigious client in the insurance industry. As a Senior Test Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their insurance systems and claims processes. This position requires a minimum of five years of experience in software testing, with a specific focus on insurance and claims domain knowledge. Additionally, exposure and understanding of automation tools and techniques is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for insurance systems and claims processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to understand requirements and design appropriate test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of the software applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using appropriate defect management tools, ensuring their timely resolution and retesting.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and propose solutions or process improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Gain exposure to automation tools and frameworks to understand their capabilities and potential benefits in testing processes.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and resource allocation activities to ensure successful project delivery within defined timelines.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior test analysts, fostering their professional growth and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the insurance and claims domain, and apply this knowledge to testing processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review and enhance the overall quality assurance framework and testing methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Test Analyst, with a focus on insurance and claims systems.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, processes, and regulations.
• Extensive experience in test planning, test case design, and execution within the insurance domain.
• Exposure and understanding of automation tools and techniques used in software testing.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management processes, and quality assurance principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Agile, or Automation) will be considered a plus.
